SC01 - Introduction to Software Testing M�rcio Delamaro, ICMC-USP Friday, October 01, 2010 (08:30-12:00)

Abstract:

In this short course, we will present the key points about software testing. We will discuss some basic concepts and some testing techniques. Emphasis will be given to the structural and defect-based techniques. Tools will be presented to support such techniques, developed within the Software Engineering group at ICMC/USP.

Lecturer:

• M�rcio Delamaro has bachelor degree in Computer Science at UNICAMP (1985), master degree in Computer Science from USP (1993) and holds a Ph.D. in Computational Physics also from USP (1997) with sandwich program at Purdue Univesity, United States. M�rcio conducted postdoctoral studies at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, between 2000 and 2001 and obtained the title of associate professor in the field of Software Engineering at USP in 2005. He is a researcher by supported by CNPq and also professor of SSC / ICMC / USP. He has extensive experience in software testing, and is co-author of the book "Introduction to software testing" from Editora Campus.
